UKAS Assessment and Accreditation for ISAS

The Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme (ISAS) is a patient focused accreditation scheme which is available to UK imaging services.

For ISAS, accreditation is independent attestation of an organisation's competence to provide diagnostic imaging services such that the users have confidence in the outcomes.

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), the UK's national accreditation body, has been selected by The Royal College of Radiologists and The College of Radiographers, to deliver and manage ISAS.

UKAS will assess imaging services against the ISAS Standard and will ensure, through regular monitoring, that required standards are maintained.

From May 2013, the scheme includes an enhanced package of support to help imaging services preparing for and going through initial assessment for ISAS.
